Fuel Type
Electricity is clean and can be controlled using sophisticated technology - so you can benefit from pre-set programmes. Gas ovens are generally hotter at the top and cooler at the bottom. Burning gas creates a moist atmosphere, which helps to prevent food from drying out while cooking, which is particularly good for roasting meats etc.
Oven Type
Ovens can be built-in, built-under or a combination of both. This simply states where and how the oven resides within your kitchen. Built-under ovens sit under the cooking area whilst built-in means the oven can also be incorporated into the kitchen amongst the shelf units.
Energy Class
Energy efficiency classes are graded on a scale from A++ to G - A++ being more energy efficient. The energy label is applicable to most white goods, cars, light bulbs etc. According to EU directives (92/75/CEE, 94/2/CE, 95/12/CE, 96/89/CE, 2003/66/CE), the label must be displayed.
A+ and A++ are most energy effective. Those grades was introduced at a later stage.
