Huge disappointment because it didn't live up to expectations I had based on research I did prior to purchase

What are the strengths?

Lovely picture especially in HD – really good. Sound quality is fine too from what must be very small speakers given the ultra-slim line nature of this LED TV. That this TV offers 3D and simulated 3D (i.e 2D to 3D conversion) was an added bonus and a novelty.

What are the weaknesses?

The main reason I went for this model is because I was assured that all manner of catch-up or on-demand TV was accessible by virtue of the integrated fully functional web browser supported by Flash player BUT such assurances proved to be wholly misleading and this was a huge disappointment to me! I am also unhappy with the You Tube app provided with this TV.

After having watched BBCi-player on a friend's LG Smart TV, I made enquiries at several large electrical retail stores asking whether any of the so-called internet televisions they sold had the ability to play, in addition to BBCi-player, other brands of catch-up television such as itv-player. In two branches of Currys, a branch of Comet and a PC World store, I was told that certain Samsung models came with a full www internet browser and some type of Flash player installed enabling the viewer to watch catch-up or on demand TV from all the sites, including itv-player, 4oD, BBCi-player and Demand 5.
